Thank you so very much for posting the information about Soldiers' Angels. I am hoping that it will inspire other people.
Our troops need other items and these items are listed in the Soldiers' Angels website. When my son returned home, he mentioned that a lot of items like toothbrushes, tooth paste, under garments, etc. are for sale over there but at a very high cost to the troops.
Once again, Thank you for all that you are doing!
Sincerely,
Kris
I wrote back to Kris saying I am humbled to be thanked by her.
If you would like to help, there is something for everyone. If you can't give your time, make a donation. If you have time or would like to involve your children in a mission of compassion and patriotism, check out SOS: Kids, Angel Bakers, the Cards Plus Team, or the Letter Writing Team.
If you have time and craft like Kris, there are teams which knit, crochet or sew blankets, and other needed items, including scarves designed for protection from the desert heat and sand. There's even a team that makes handmade gifts and holds virtual baby showers for new moms whose husbands are overseas.
As I write this, there are 423 soldiers waiting to be “adopted” by an Angel. Will you be one?
