It’s a Shoe Inn

Ona’s letter about the Shoe College brought to mind this boot I “designed” (lol) a couple of years ago.

“It’s a Shoe Inn” was made for a fundraiser for handicapped children. While it wasn’t a shoe-in in that it didn’t win the highest bid, it was quite the attention grabber and got a lot of laughs. The fund raiser was a huge success.

Can you see the policeman in the window, trying to coax the despondent businessman in off the ledge while Spiderman is zooming in to save the day? The double front doors open onto a scene of a beautiful woman in a mink coat walking up the grand stairway giving a backward “come hither” glance.

On the other side of the hotel are a window framing the silhouette of a man in a wheelchair ("Rear Window" – get it?) and a window revealing a very comely naked woman walking by.

The rooftop pool features a woman floating on a (cork) raft while her boyfriend sunbathes beside the pool. Yes, the pool had real water in it! A uniformed elevator operator patiently stands at the rooftop elevator door waiting for a call.

I think all of the clip art came from PrintShop – well except for the naked lady perhaps. PrintShop is pretty G-rated!
