I recently found your website, "The Artful Crafter" and enjoy many of the articles on scrapbooking and sewing.
What I really enjoy, however, is your personal story about starting crafty businesses and having a husband who can create the website and do the technical stuff.
I laughed because your story sounds similar to mine. I am a stay at home mom and I'm always working on crafts, creative projects, etc ... while my husband helps with the technical stuff. :)
I used to make designer photo cards for my children's birth announcements and birthday cards. So, when family and friends would pay compliments on my card, I thought they were just being nice.
But once they started giving me money to make cards for them, a business was born. I never thought I could make money just by being a creative mom! But I have and still do.
Since starting that first successful photo card business, I have since created 2 popular ebooks that teach other moms how to make crafty items for fun and profit.
In short, I just wanted to write and say kudos on a creating a resourceful website. I love seeing "our type" of women helping others improve their skills and inspire them to unleash their creativity.
I look forward to watching your website blossom into bigger and brighter areas - Keep up the great work, Eileen!
Warm wishes,
-Mariana

Warm regards,
Eileen
I too am a stay at home mom and I am working on learning all I can on how to dry flowers. I would love to some day write an e-book on the subject. Thanks for letting others know that it is possible.
