Merry Christmas from Our House to Yours: Part 4 - The Christmas Spirit

Right around the corner from the fireplace hangs this beautiful Noel hooked rug. It was given to me about 30 years ago by a teaching colleague. Mary was a very crafty home economics teacher; but this particular year she really outdid herself.

She hand-hooked an identical wall hanging for every teacher on the staff. My guess is twenty. Can you imagine?! The Christmas spirit REALLY brings out the best in some of us.

In the center of the living room is my Christmas candle collection arranged on our chest-style coffee table. It looks so pretty when they are all lit. In the center is my punch bowl “filled” with gold and red glass ornaments.

Actually, the ornaments are carefully stacked around the perimeter and the center is filled with a wad of balled up gold foil wrapping paper.
Shhh!

A friend painted the ceramic pieces in my churchyard scene and I’ve always wanted to expand it into a village. Maybe next year …

Tomorrow is Christmas (Yippee!) and we will conclude our virtual holiday decorations tour. Please join me then.
