On Angels Wings
I’d like to introduce you to needlepoint-artist-in-search-of-new-media, June Crawford. Aren’t all artists works in process? Aren’t we always trying to improve, refine and find new techniques?
Take a few moments to peek into the world of another crafter/artist on this search for her true (he)art. I think you’ll find some ideas to help you grow in yours.
What media do you work in?
I work with anything that doesn't move ... and a few things I swear sometimes do. I'm fascinated by anything that you can use to create with. Paint, fabric, grass, buttons, paper ... all sorts of paper, cake ... everything and anything is game to be used to create something.
What brought you to your art?
I think I can go all the way back to my very beginning and attribute my love of art to my grandfather.
He was the most amazing artist, even though he was born a left-hander who was later forced to use his right hand. He had such talent, both artistically and musically - something I did NOT inherit.
He had a great appreciation for all things beautiful and old. He taught me how to "feel" the stories within. It's a gift he shared with me as long as he was in my life, and I hope I have shared with my own children, and maybe even a few others.

I follow June's blog. She is amazing! She has inspired me to put on my own creative 'thinking cap' and explore my long dormant imagination. Can't wait to read more.
