Artist Profile: Deb Terry - Part Two

[Deb Terry’s Artist Profile is continued from yesterday.]

Who is your biggest fan or supporter?
Without a shadow of a doubt my husband and daughter are my biggest supporters.

A lot of friends and family are in my cheering section too; though not all of them are clued-in to just how difficult it is for me to finish a project. They may think it all comes easily.

Where would you like to be artistically five years from now?
One of these days I will get my act together and sell some of my artwork or at least try. I've thought of places like eBay, Etsy and ArtFire. But it’s hard to take the plunge.

Maybe leave my full time job, work part time and devote more time to my crafts. I would love to see my entire home decorated in all my artwork.

Media: glass beads and wire

What is your favorite artwork which you created and why?
It’s so hard to pick just one. I feel like there’s a little part of me in each project.

Probably one of my two paintings (Universal Armadillo and Snail Climbing up a Leaf). These were the first time I ever put paint to canvas and it was such a hurdle for me. Both paintings are completely original, unlike the beaded spider pin (which I love). For that I used a kit to learn how to make one and then expanded on the design with my own beads etc.

The paintings required me to be fearless!

What crafting or art tools are on your wish list?
Wow! What I couldn’t wish for …

But really the only thing on my wish list is not a tool, it’s TIME. Time is so precious and it just flies by.
