Wholesale Wood Letters to Canada

I am looking for a wholesale manufacturer of wooden wall letters unpainted. In Canada shipping is too high and I’m not making enough money on each letter that I custom hand paint.

Please help me.

Wood LettersHi Tonya,

I’ve always thought of Canada as the land of lumber – well at least parts of it. The rest I think of as ice and snow. LOL. So I was shocked to find no Canadian companies selling wooden letters online.

I did some comparison shopping at U.S. wood letter sites. Using "Ashley" in Times New Roman Bold, 8 inches high and ½ inch thick, I got all-in prices shipped to Alberta ranging from $33.26 to $48.50 USD.

The letters alone (without shipping) ranged from $10.26 to $27. Surprisingly, the highest cost per letter was from a site which advertises discount wood letters but their shipping was less than any other site. My point is that you need to look at the all-in cost – as you obviously are doing – when ordering online.

I found that one of the retail wood letter sites with good prices has a wholesale program for those with a valid business license. I don’t know if their wholesale pricing will bring your total cost down enough but it’s worth a try.

You can contact the company, Craft Cuts.com, at their wholesale division (1-800-425-7020).

You have one other option I can see. If you have family or friends in the States, have letters shipped to them. They can then bring them to you the next time they visit you or you can pick them up when you go to see them.

I spend extended periods in Mexico. This is how I get craft supplies I can only find in the States. It’s a bit inconvenient, but it guarantees I will see my loved ones ASAP. And when we do get together, it’s like Christmas!

  1. Hello,

I'm looking for US/Canadian-made wooden letters + numbers too. Have you found a source yet? I've checked with Michael's, and they only carries tiny letters. It would be great if you don't mind to share information with me.

  2. Hi Mrs. Bagel,

    What a cute moniker!

I'm afraid I don't understand your question because I answered it in the post you commented on ;-)

Can you explain further? Sorry if I'm being dense.

  3. Hi,
I just came across this. Just wanted to let anyone know that I sell unpainted wooden letters in all kinds of fonts and sizes and I'm located in Canada! Here's my site: http://www.bouncingoffthewalls.ca
or it the link won't show up, it's bouncingoffthewalls.ca

I had the same trouble when I started my business which is why I learned to cut my own. Now I'm selling to others here in Canada and the US for much cheaper than you'll find in Michael's or from across the boarder.
