Dear Readers: I really DO listen to you. A little while after putting up a tutorial for Weaving a Ribbon Fish, I began to get questions from people who were having trouble following my directions.
I re-worked the directions adding more detail and photos. Still I continued to get questions. Finally I decided that the first fish might be too much of a challenge for anyone who has not created ribbon-woven figures before. It's a bit trickier than just weaving back and forth on a flat surface.
I did a second Ribbon Fish tutorial for beginners and actually like this version better myself. Not only is it easier to weave, but also the fish has a more defined shape and holds its shape well. The tradeoff is that the beginners' version is a bit smaller.
These little ribbon fish make cute mobiles or Christmas ornaments. You can also flatten them a bit more to use on handmade cards or scrapbook pages.

P.S. This fish doesn't swim either ;-)
