Review of Artella’s Step-by-Step Vintage Holiday Cards: Artsy Old-Fashioned Greetings in 5 Steps or Less

I just finished leafing through Artella’s Step-by-Step Vintage Holiday Cards: Artsy Old-Fashioned Greetings in 5 Steps or Less by Marney K. Makridakis, the Founder/Editor of Artella Land.

I told you a bit about Artella Land previously.

This book is beautifully illustrated, as are all Marney’s books. It’s an easy read at just 30 pages. The ten tutorials are easy to follow and brief.

Eight designs are strictly winter-holiday themed but easily adaptable for other occasions. Two designs are suitable for year round use. Despite the title, I don’t feel all the designs have a distinct vintage look. They’re really more diverse.

Marney showcases a variety of card making techniques including

• Rubber stamping,
• Embossing,
• Cut-outs,
• Collage,
• Applying glitter and mylar,
• and more …

You’ll also find free coupons and a few interesting ads with live links to other Artella products in the book. We who provide free content have to make a living somehow ;-)
