How to Decoupage a Hope Chest, a.k.a. Glory Box

Hi,

I have a wooden Glory Box made of unstained pine that I want to cover the top with photos. I am not sure what to use to hold the photos in place, seal and varnish - not really sure of the process at all.

Any help would be appreciated. It is for a 21st birthday gift.

Thanks,
Ella

Decoupaged ChestHi Ella,

In the U.S, we used to call that a hope chest, but I don't know any young girls who crave anything so "old fashioned" anymore. I'm delighted to hear that the tradition survives somewhere in the world.
