My One-Hour-a-Day Art Update
Second, I want to update you on my effort to set aside an hour a day for my (personal) art. I shared my anti-perfectionism plan last week in my The Hurried-er I Go, the Behind-er I Get post.
It's going very well – not great – but well. In these eight days, I’ve found 3 hours and 35 minutes for my art.
Yes, I'm timing myself. How else would a perfectionist address the situation? The really great news is that I’ve cleared away a whole bunch of unfinished projects that have been nagging at me.
Plus I've put a little dent – really little – in the emails that I let pile up unanswered (4 down, 20 to go); BUT I've handled all the new ones within a day of their receipt. Yes!
My new mantra is, "I'm in control of my Internet use. The Internet does not control me!"
