Panadieres for Zambia

Hello,

My name is Janet and I am a missionary in Zambia. I work with a community school for AIDS orphans in Lusaka, the capital city of Zambia.

Just recently the ladies (teachers and caregivers) learned how to batik cloth. I think these fabrics would make great Panadieres.

As a missionary I am on a very tight fixed budget. I was wondering if you would consider donating your pattern for the ladies to use. The products they sell go toward the operation of the school and do not personally benefit anyone.

You can check out my blog for legitimacy.

Thank you for considering this request.

Janet

Hi Janet,

I did check out your blog and was quite impressed. God bless you for your ministry. The panadiere pattern is on its way by separate e-mail.

You'll find some additional articles on variations to the pattern here, as well as other free patterns you might want to use.

Yours truly,
Eileen

Eileen,

Thank you so much for the panadiere pattern. I will be happy to send pictures when the ladies start making them. I pray that they will be a success.

Feel free to use pictures from my blogsite if you wish.

Janet

[I was delighted to be able to help Janet in this small way. Those of you who follow my blog or visit my website may recall that my son raises money for AIDS treatment by cycling the 500+ miles between LA and San Francisco. By coincidence, he is on day 4 of this year’s ride as I write this!]

  1. This is a great story, Eileen! I always love hearing how artists find ways to help others :-)
