Juli wrote back to thank me for helping her out with the star ornament project yesterday. Here I thought she might be starting her Christmas crafting this early to make and sell the ornaments. The background story is much more special than that. She kindly allowed me to share it with you. What a touching way to honor their sister.

I love the wire wrapped idea as well ... I am making 25 of these ornaments for my family for Christmas this year. My brother and I make an ornament each year. This year's will be to honor our sister who passed away last year at the age of 47.
My ornament this year is a star based on a poem I received.
"Perhaps they are not stars in the sky, but rather openings where our loved one shone down to let us know they are happy."
I have really struggled to find a star that would work, but I loved
your idea. Now I can be more flexible with the star knowing I can wrap the wire.
