Trading Stamped Images: Shame on You?

I heard a rumor that Lindsay Weirich the Frugal Crafter said trading stamped images of a stamp you purchased so that a crafting friend could see and play with it is illegal. I thought trading a few stamped images with a crafty pen pal would be fun and completely legal.

    Regarding the matter of stamped images, I think it's just fine to share resources. It's in the selling of work where it might be a problem. Unfortunately the internet has become a place from which it's easy to steal. Gifts of images shouldn't be a concern.

    While there are a few who will deliberately steal the work of others, it's a shame when good honest people feel paranoid about legitimate use of a craft tool they've purchased. That's not good for the artist either.
