Big Picture Classes: 28 Cards in 4 Weeks

You can make the card exactly as Aly shows or vary it to your heart's content. I played with her Christmas tree card design ever so little. I used different word stamps because I don't have a "Happy Holidays" one. You should see some of the amazing original creations in the class gallery.
Maybe by week 4 I'll feel freer to wing it more. Already I've learned:
- My stamping technique needs work - one of my stamped phrases above is a bit blurry and one is faint in spots; and
- I'll never get this week's 7 designs completed if I make four variations of each one - I need to force myself to move on.

By coincidence, before I had bought the class, I ordered two cool Fiskars 8 x 8 word stamp sheets. I get to put them to use right away. Frequently I buy a bunch of new supplies all at once and years later still haven't used them all.
Do you do that too?
Can I Bitch?
Can I bitch a little?
We've had just a horrible time with the website the past four days. Yes, I mean the new website which we just launched! We've been offline for three days! This is every website owner's worst nightmare. Well, maybe not quite; I know of one whose site not only went down but the server lost all of their records. Poof, your business just went up in smoke. How scary is that?!
Anyway, our situation is that the new, bigger, more functional website uses more resources. So our hosting service slowed our service meaning that pages load slower. Google hates that. So do readers!
So Chris went looking for a new hosting company. We're willing to pay more for better service. The new company told us the site would be unavailable while the transfer was taking place. They didn't say for how long. That was two days ago.
With no end in sight, Chris canceled the new contract and contacted our original host company. They say we will be out for two or three more days!
Here i'am !!!!! I can see you!!! Geez!! Thats terrible! But at least for now i can see you! :) Looks like your getting a great jump on Christmas cards this year!!! :) You'll do great!! Hugs! deb
ReplyDeleteThanks, Deb. I'm enjoying the class. I just have to force myself to stay on track. I can be working on one project and then I see something that needs doing or I have an inspiration for something else. It's a battle isn't it?
ReplyDeleteThe cards look great! I am now inspired. Sorry to hear about your host and web site troubles.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mary. I made four more cards today. The class is really fun.
