28 Cards in 28 Days: Part 2

Big Picture Classes: 28 Cards in 28 Days

28 Cards in 28 Days
This is an update on my progress toward making 28 cards in 28 days. It's day 8 and I've made 8 cards!

That sounds great until I tell you that I've only tried two of the 28 design's in Aly Dosdall's class. That's okay though because at Big Picture Classes, once you've bought a class, it's available to you forever. You do miss the social aspects however, if you don't keep up with the class.

There are:
  • Online chats;
  • A gallery for class participant creations; and
  • The general sharing that goes on as classmates work on assignments at the same time.

28 Cards in 28 Days
Aly's paper strip card design can use a lot of your paper scraps. The cards, as is, could be used as blank note cards for any occasion.

Here you can see I've added a "#1 Dad!" banner for Father's Day or dad's birthday to the most masculine looking card.

The others are more generic: "Thank You", "Just a Note" and "Thinking of You." The good news is that the banners can easily be removed and replaced for a different occasion.

I think I need to pick up my pace. I'm missing a lot by not keeping up with the class.

Twenty days to go; 26 designs to tackle.

  3. Deb, I'm also seeing postcard art possibilities, but I may be all out of patterned scrap paper by the end of this class! That is, unless the cards become more formal. We don't know from one week to the next what our 7 assignment for the week will be. oh, the suspense ...
