After reviewing Charlotte Rivers new book, I Heart Stationery: Fresh Inspirations for Handcrafted Cards, Note Cards, Journals, & Other Paper Goods, I just couldn’t stop myself from creating a hybrid Valentine card. I’ve been mostly a digi-girl; but that may be changing!
I was inspired with a minimalist sewn card idea by LA designer Victoria Vu, but went in a very different direction. Isn't that what inspiration is all about?
Nothing minimalist about this card which employs paper cutting, hand doodling, image transferring, and semi-calligraphy. Never heard of semi-calligraphy? Please read on. I may have invented it. It's for those of us who failed penmanship ...
