How to Make a Charming Christmas Stocking Advent Calendar, Conclusion

For each stocking, fold a strip of hanger felt in half and glue ends together. Glue the hanger inside a stocking at the top right of the back panel. Let dry for a few hours.

Use contrasting color glitter glue to write the numbers on each stocking. Let dry overnight.

Glue trim across the front of each stocking as indicated by the dashed line on the template (1 inch down from the top). Glue on embellishments. Let dry for a few hours.

Determine where the stockings will be hung and place the hooks on the wall at the same level about 6 1/2 feet apart.

At each end of the macrame cord, form and tie a loop for hanging. Hang the cord from one hook to the other.

Add each stocking to the cord using a 6-inch length of pipe cleaner. Bend a pipe cleaner loosely in half. Run it through the hanger and then up and around the cord. Twist the ends together once. Form a bow shape with the tails. Then wrap one tail up and over the middle of the bow to make it appear as if it were tied.
