I finally got around to working on it. It is soooo practical. I just love it! I haven’t decorated the three-ring binder which holds the pages yet; but I couldn’t wait to fill the pages and start using it.My jewelry box is now neat and organized, rather than a huge jumble.
I can find the perfect pair of earrings for any outfit. I even found an earring that had been missing for about a year.
Surprise – it wasn’t anywhere near my jewelry box. It was in the absolute bottom of my hubby’s tool bag. Don’t ask me how it got there. I have no idea.
I needed to find some mismatched nuts and bolts to assemble the pages. So hubby’s tool bag got reorganized too ;-)I spray painted the plastic canvas silver and sandwiched each sheet between two decorated double mats.
I doubled the mats because you need to allow depth to accommodate and protect the earrings.
The mats were stamped with Tim Holtz Adirondack Alcohol Inks in earth tones. The narrow mats were then covered with Tim Holtz idea-ology tissue tape which allows the stamped colors to show through.
The tissue tape has words and definitions typed every which way: dream, imagination, journey … it even has artful, which is defined as archaic. I guess that’s about right since I’m 65. lol.
