Transform Plain Glassware into Unique Home Décor

Glass PaintingSee the glass carafe and wine glass in the photo. That’s my first glass painting project using the Delta Air-Dry PermEnamel Transparent Glass Paint Set I told you about in a Safe Easy Way to Create Stained Glass.

I didn’t use the faux leading in this project. Next time perhaps.

All Delta PermEnamel Paints are dishwasher safe and oven safe to 350 degrees.

The colors of these transparent paints are quite pale but can be layered for more depth.

The carafe is beautiful! I have never tried painting on glass with these paints- sounds like something else I need to try!

I love it! Wow wouldn't it be nice to paint some flowers on wine glasses? Might make a nice gift too!

Thanks, guys.

Barbara, flowers would be a perfect application because of the paint's tendency to leave brush strokes.

The other project which would work really well is "leaded" stained glass but in a smallish size like a stained glass window hanging.

The leaded sections would allow you to drop or dribble the paint in and let it self level for a smooth finish.

This is a great gift idea. You can buy wine glasses pretty cheap at the $1 store, and then use this technique to jazz them up.
