I love earrings. I love collecting them, making them and wearing them. What makes a girl feel more feminine than a pair of earrings that match her outfit or mood?
I could only find one of the pair I was looking for and thought, there’s got to be a better way to store these.
Light bulb moment: wouldn’t plastic canvas be perfect?Post earrings will hold securely on their own. Some of the larger or heavier ear wire types may need little plastic tubes like the ones that hold them in place on the display cards in the store.
Yup, this is gonna work!I bought a pack of 8 ¼ by 11-inch plastic canvas. I’m thinking of binding them into an earring storage book or maybe just using a hole punch to slip them into a readymade 3-ring binder.
Now I just have to figure out the mechanics and then the fun part – decorating my earring storage book.

Eileen... that is a GREAT idea! Simple, easy, you can decorate the edges with stitching if you want, or use as is... BRILLIANT!!!
Blogger has not been nice to me today but i'm going to try to leave you a comment!
LOVE your earring organizer idea! I LOVE earring too and mine are just in a glass box on my night stand a jumbled mess. I have a different idea though. I'll let you know if an when that ever happens. It feels like a fall/ winter project to me...LOL!
June, would you believe I hadn't thought of cross stitching the edges of the plastic canvas?! Duh ...
I was thinking of ribbon perhaps. I haven't done cross stitch for ages.
Hmm ... once again, you've got me thinking.
Thank you ;-)
Deb, I can't wait to hear what your idea is.
So we find another thing we have in common - a love of earrings!
