Paper Fortune Cookies Complete the Party

Here are the girls opening their fortune cookies at Jackie’s Birthday party. I think they’re pretty cute – both my girlfriends and the zero-calorie paper fortune cookies.

They were so inexpensive and simple to make – not the friends (they’re priceless) – the paper fortune cookies.

I bought Carina Gardner’s Fabulous Fortune Cookies Hybrid Digital Kit at JessicaSprague.com.

BTW, if you’re not familiar with JessicaSprague.com, please go check it out and sign up for the free newsletter. Jessica has some fabulous classes if you’re interested in photography, digital graphics, scrapbooking and/or hybrid (digi/paper) crafts.

After completing your order, you simply download your product(s) and craft away.

I made the pastel set of cookies for Jackie’s birthday party and the red set for my Sunday brunch group which will gather the day before Valentine’s Day. Perfect!

All you need for Carina’s cookies are heavy paper (not card stock) to print the circles and light weight paper for the little fortune strips; a scissors to cut them out; and double-sided tape to hold the cookie shape.

Just follow the directions, i.e., don’t do as Eileen did. I thought card stock would be fine, but it’s not flexible enough to form and hold the cookie shape. I ended up having to staple mine.

The kit also includes a printable sheet of strips with fortunes already typed in, as well as a sheet of blank strips if you want to be really creative and write your own.

Thanks, Connie and Tammy.

You're right, Tammy. I think everyone gets a kick out of reading the "fortunes".
