Every Bead Has a Story

Every Bead Has a StoryHope you don't mind the play on words with our motto, “The Artful Crafter – Helping Crafters to Be”. It was just too good to pass up. Lol.

=============================================

Hi,

Your site is very helpful. I have a quick question though. In terms of repairing a beaded necklace with seed beads and thread (brick stitch tube necklace) do you have any suggestions or references that may be helpful for this?

Thanks,
Giulia

Hi Giulia,

I sure do. My friend Cyndi Lavin is a beader extraordinaire and has a website all about Beading Arts. She just released chapter one of her new eBook, Every Bead Has a Story – Bead Embroidery Stitches, which you can download for free.

There are several pages involving sewing brick stitches, all beautifully illustrated in close-up. I'm pretty sure you'll find what you need there; but, if not, browse around Cyndi's site or drop her a line.

Thank you. I'm glad you find The Artful Crafter helpful :-D

Regards,
Eileen

Thank you, Eileen, for sharing about my new e-book. The brick stitch that I cover in the instructions is designed for use in embroidering rather than tubular bead weaving, but I would be happy to help your reader with her questions if she'd like to contact me :-)
