How to Make Flowers from Fabric Remnants or Paper Coffee Filters

Fabric Scrap FlowersI enjoyed making the Flower from Scrap Fabric. They were very easy and quick. As a mom of two kids and very little time to spare this was ideal. My question is re- the floral tape. I couldn’t find something strong enough to hold the flowers. Please help.

Coffee Filter RosesHi Chrishanthi,

Did you have trouble attaching the flowers to the wire or wrapping the wire with floral tape?

If it was attaching the flowers to the wire, you'll find a tip on that in my article on Making Coffee Filter Roses.

Or perhaps you had trouble finding floral tape. You can buy it in the artificial plant section of any craft store or buy a roll from a florist. It's very easy to use. As you stretch it tight around the wire(s) to wrap, adhesive is released which holds everything together.

If I haven't addressed your issue, please write back.

Regards,
Eileen

  6. Heaven knows, I've got fabric remnants, so I should try this. I think they'd be great decorations for cards, too!
