I added the following update to one of our art inspiration articles earlier this month, but saved it for today’s blog post. I think you’ll understand why ;-)2009 Update
Obviously mine is an evolving story, as is everyone's life story. It is now almost three years later and over five years since we conceived The Artful Crafter. In the interim, I closed my little shop in order to work exclusively from home on the website. I've lost touch with a couple of the artists I mentioned when I wrote earlier.
Kay Davies has passed on. Her generous spirit, wit and talent are sorely missed. Paulette Gasser and her husband joined us for Thanksgiving dinner just two weeks ago. Shaaron Chambers has contributed many more special projects to our pages and our friendship has deepened. We plan to see Shaaron and Craig over Christmas week.
If I were writing the article … today, I wouldn't know where to begin or end the list of wonderful fellow crafters and artists who have a special place in my heart.
There are
The ones I've taken classes from - like Karl Barnhart, Scrap Girls' Katherine Weaver, Lauri Jensen ... ;
The ones I trade blog links with - Cyndi Lavin, Tammy Powley, Creative Dreamer June Crawford and the rest ... ;
The ones who write to The Artful Crafter or leave comments on my blog and end up becoming dear friends - Carolyn Sondermann, Vicki Holdwick;
The growing number of crafters who've joined The Artful Crafter Community …
I love you all.
The blessings continue ...
… and I wish many Christmas Blessings for you all!
Eileen,
ReplyDeleteIt fills my heart with gladness to be included in your dear friends.
Merry, merry Christmas.
xoxo
And may those blessings be abundant for all of us! Merry Christmas Eileen, I'm looking forward to a wonderful year ahead full of fun and wonderful exchange of great ideas!
