Did you ever come to the end of a week and ask yourself, “What in the world did I do all week? It doesn’t seem that I accomplished anything – or at least anything creative. Yet I’m pooped.” This was one of those weeks for me. It started last Saturday when one of my regular customers brought me the pieces of a smashed Talavera pot. I put new projects aside and spent most of the day repairing the pot with glue, polymer clay and Delta PermEnamel paint.
This was the second time I had repaired this very same pot. I wasn’t inspired to take photos this time, so here are the pix and how-to from the last repair.
The pot is one of a matched set of four. Last time, I suggested Lys move them out of harm’s way. She told me she had followed my advice. And they say lightening doesn’t strike twice!
Then Monday I got an order for a very blah graphic job: B&W product labels, 80 1-inch squares to a sheet, nothing but text. Believe me, cutting 80 1-inch squares from several 8 ½ x 11 full sheet labels is boooooring. However, I love my repeat customers and would hardly ever say “no” to them.
To be continued tomorrow …
