I got this idea from my artsy blogging friend Chloe’s link in last Sunday’s weekly Artsy Bloggers Roundup. I so enjoyed a peek into her home at holiday time, that I thought you might enjoy a peek into mine.So please, turn that doorknob and come right in. Many, or maybe most, of my Christmas decorations were handmade over the years starting from our newlywed days 41 years ago. Many were gifts from crafty friends. A few were even made by my DH and DS.
I wish I could offer you a cup of tea or mulled wine and some Christmas cookies, but I don’t have any mulled wine and I haven’t made my Christmas cookies yet! In any event, please make yourself at home as you wander through my personal holiday wonderland over the next few days.
I think the jolly door bell hanger was commercially made but, as I look at it, it would be very easy to make one and give it your own special touch.
The Christmas quilt hanging over our couch was sewn by my dear sister-in-law Jill. You can see some of Jill’s tablescaping creations here.

P.S. If you haven’t caught on yet, I figured this little tour would also give me a bit of a break for Christmas. Now I think I’ll go bake some cookies! ;-)
