I found the very touching photo of the old couple walking together in the PrintShop art gallery a long time ago. I had planned to use it for a layout with the Robert Browning quote; "Come grow old with me; the best is yet to be". And then this Scrap Girls challenge came along and I knew it was time. The challenge was to create a layout using this quote from Winnie the Pooh.
“If you live to be a hundred
I want to live to be a hundred
Minus a day so I don’t have to live a day without you.”
The wedding photo is of my DH and me cutting the cake, Dec. 30, 1967, over forty years ago. Hard to believe! I don’t know if we’ll make it to the 100 mark, but if we do, I hope it is together as Pooh suggests.
I selected an orange paper for the bottom layer and placed the crinkled and aged-looking cream paper atop that. Both are from Scrap Girl designer Angie Briggs’ Scenic Route collection. Then I moved the PrintShop photo on top of the old paper and lowered its opacity until the couple looks like a shadow walking off into the sunset.
The other Scrap Girls products I used were designed by Melissa Renfro, Erica Hite, Syndee Nuckles, Brandy Murry and Mandy Steward.
