I have really enjoyed your articles on making homecoming mums. Your illustrations and instructions on making braids/chains are wonderful. I was wondering if you could provide instructions for making any of the braids/chains [in the pictorial chart] I've attached. Thanks!!
Michelle
Hi Michelle,Wow, that's a tall order! But you've given me a great resource with the photos. I'll see what I can do. Five of the nine patterns you sent are already on The Artful Crafter. In case you didn't find them all ...
What you call the Diamond Back Braid, I call Diamondback Garland.
What you call Round Braid, I have as Diamondback Braid.
What you call the Love Braid, I call the Love Chain (and I think you are correct on this one - oops).
Your Flat Braid is my Spirit Chain.
We agree on the name of the Military Braid (pictured above).
I'll e-mail you if I get any of the others posted. I'm so glad you're enjoying my website.
You might want to subscribe to my free monthly newsletter so you'll automatically find out what's new on The Artful Crafter each month.
Best wishes, Eileen
I love the letter formats of your posts.
ReplyDeleteThanks Peggy. I've always enjoyed the "letters to the editor" pages in magazines, so this came about quite naturally.
ReplyDeleteBTW, all these letters are real. It is my reader which largely determine the direction of The Artful Crafter website.
Thanks for stopping by!
Eileen, you're amazing! Is there *any* craft form that you don't know about? I want to be you :-)
ReplyDeleteGosh Cyndi, that's quite a compliment coming from you!Thank you.
